The look of this table set is the byproduct of a concept I have been working on for a decade. The design as you see it now has not changed in three years. at this time in the table sets development I can no longer change anything about the design.
Since the designs debut in the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in 2007 the design has spent three years in the real world serving in homes and business in the United States and France. We spent time keeping in contact with the owners of the table sets. We asked them what they would like to change about and how the design has served them. The results from our communications validated the table set as a true "serving form" to us. The owners of this set would not change anything about the design. Our confidence in the design is only stronger and we are ramping up the table into the market place Spring 2010.
This is one of the testing videos filmed in March 2007 in my studio.
In this clip: me, my neighbor Ed, and good Friend Stephen Evans a furniture designer in Atlanta.
I am a little embarrassed to show it. We are acting a little goofy but I was excited at the time. The table in the clip was the last prototype made of the 70 degree coffee table.
