the concept was based on several design parameters.

- to be light enough for one person to move.

- to be strong enough for several people to sit on.

- be manufactured quickly, "just in time", to reduce invitatory.

- an integrated knock-down capability for easy shipping and storage.

- the elements within the tables need to be compartmentalized for an organized manufacturing prosess.  The three elements are glass, metal , and wood. by creating the concept out of a well defined three elements I can easily control the quality and stay on top of material price changes. this is important because I manufacture the table set.

- the largest design parameter was to develop a table concept that could be manufactured to any dimension (lingth x width x height) with the same lead time as the standard table set. (ex. same lead time to produce a dinner table or wider coffee table as it would to produce the standard table set).
